Check of a state, replacement and adjustment of the sensor switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter

Check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The sensor switch of disconnection of a chain of a starter is located near the top end of a pedal of coupling (see an illustration). To the sensor switch two wires, one – from the relay of inclusion of a starter, by the second – are brought to weight. When turning the ignition key in situation START and squeezing of a pedal of coupling, due to operation of the sensor switch, there is a short circuit on the mass of the relay of a starter that leads to activation of an electric motor of the last.
2. If the engine is not turned at the squeezed-out coupling pedal, it is necessary to make adjustment of the sensor switch (see below Adjustment), then to repeat attempt. If adjustment does not help to achieve desirable result, check a condition of the sensor switch (see paragraph 3) and in case of need replace the last (see below Replacement).
3. If when squeezing a pedal of coupling the engine is not turned, therefore, or conductivity between sensor switch plugs is broken, or on the last the power supply from the starter relay does not move.
4. Check serviceability of giving of food by means of the voltmeter or a lamp sampler. When turning the ignition key in situation START and squeezing of a pedal on the wire going from the relay of a starter tension has to take place. If tension is absent, check for break an electrical wiring between the relay and the sensor switch. If food moves regularly, check presence of tension from the opposite side of the sensor switch (at the squeezed-out coupling pedal). Presence of tension on both sides of the sensor switch confirms serviceability of its functioning. Try to make adjustment (see below Adjustment). In the absence of tension replace the sensor switch.

Replacement

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disunite the electrical wiring socket, weaken an adjusting nut and turn out the sensor switch from the arm. Installation is made upside-down.

Adjustment

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Weaken a lock-nut and, rotation of the sensor switch achieve existence of conductivity between its plugs at the squeezed-out coupling pedal.
