Check and replacement of the valve of system of the operated ventilation of a case (PCV) (each 48 000 km of a run or times in 24 months)

The PCV system provides a conclusion of crankcase gases via the special valve on a hose back in the inlet pipeline from where they come to combustion chambers and are burned out during normal functioning of the engine. The system consists the hose going from a cover of a head of cylinders to the inlet pipeline and a hose of supply of the fresh air laid between the air cleaner and a cover of a head of cylinders.

The PCV valve with the hose connected to it is put in the inlet pipeline under the fuel highway, or is in a back part of the engine, depending on model (see illustrations below).

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At the engine working at single turns, warmed up up to the normal working temperature pull the valve and take it together with the connected hose from the inlet pipeline or a hose.

2. Press a finger to an opening in the PCV valve or a hose (see an accompanying illustration) – depression has to be felt, otherwise make sure of passability of a hose, the union on the inlet pipeline and actually the valve. Replace defective components.

3. Kill the engine and shake the PCV valve – it has to rattle slightly, otherwise make replacement.
4. For replacement of the PCV valve disconnect it from a vacuum hose, having remembered the direction of connection.
5. Upon purchase of the new valve track that he answered on the standard size to the engine of your car. It will be most correct to compare the new valve to old removed from the engine directly.
6. Connect the replaceable PCV valve to a vacuum hose, having tracked reliability of their joining.
7. Check a condition of hoses and rubber plugs through passage. Replace defective components.
8. Densely put the valve on the regular place. More detailed information on functioning of the PCV system is provided in the Head of the Control system of the engine of the present manual.
