Replacement of a forward epiploon of a bent shaft

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Take off driving belts (see the Head Routine maintenance).
2. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
3. Take off a GRM drive belt (see the Audio system).

4a. Remove an external guide of a belt of a bent shaft.

4b. Remove a cogwheel of a bent shaft.

4c. On the models which are not equipped with the sensor of fluctuations of a bent shaft remove an internal guide of a belt (see an accompanying illustration).

If the engine is equipped with the sensor of fluctuations of a bent shaft, the internal guide will be built in a cogwheel.

5. Having accurately hooked the special tool or the big screw-driver, take an old epiploon from the nest (see an accompanying illustration). Try not to leave scratches and zadir on a surface of a pin of a shaft or the case of the oil pump, – existence of similar defects will lead to bystry failure of a new epiploon.

6. Clear internal surfaces of a nest under landing of an epiploon. Grease the outer edge of a new epiploon with pure motive oil, or universal lubricant. Having used a face head of the corresponding size, or a piece of a pipe of suitable diameter as a mandrel, put a new epiploon in the nest. The mandrel has to rest only against the firm outer edge of a face surface of an epiploon. Having put an epiploon, make sure that the expansion spring did not jump out of the flute.
7. Establish an internal guide of a gas-distributing belt, a cogwheel of a bent shaft, then an external guide. Afterwards establish a gear belt (see the Audio system).
8. Oil a nave of a pulley of a bent shaft motive or universal lubricant, then put a pulley on a shaft pin. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to an order of dismantle of components.
9. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of leak of oil.
