Removal

Radiator

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery. If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that you have the correct combination for input of the audio system in action! 2. Cock the parking brake and prop up back wheels antiretractable boots. A car front also establish to Poddomkratta it on props. At the corresponding complete set remove the antispray screen of a radiator. 3. Empty the cooling system (see the Head Routine maintenance). If replacement of cooling liquid was made recently, keep for further use. 4. On models with AT disconnect from a radiator of the line of a path of cooling of ATF. Prepare for collecting the spilled liquid. 5. Disunite the fan(s) electrical wiring socket(s). 6a. Release collars and disconnect from a radiator the top hose (see accompanying illustrations). 6b. Disconnect the lower hose from a radiator. If hoses "stuck" to connecting branch pipes, use nippers, or a knife (with the subsequent replacement of hoses). 7. Remove the fan(s) (see Check of a condition of the fan(s) of the cooling system and a chain of its inclusion; replacement of the fan(s)). 8. Otboltite also remove small arms of fastening of the upper edge of a radiator to the bearing beam (see an accompanying illustration). 9. Carefully take a radiator from a motive compartment. Try not to spill cooling liquid on the painted body panels and do not cut fingers about sharp plates of the heat exchanger. 10. After removal the radiator can be checked for existence of signs of leaks, damages and violations of internal passability of the heat exchanger. Any repair has to be made only in the conditions of a specialized workshop with use of the necessary equipment. 11. Remains of insects and vegetation can be removed from space between heat exchanger plates by blowing by compressed air, or are cleaned by a soft brush. Try not to bend thin plates of the heat exchanger and not to cut about them fingers. Do not forget to put on goggles! 12. Check a condition of rubber support of a radiator, in case of need make replacement.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made upside-down. Track correctness of placement of rubber pillows of support of the lower part of a radiator. 2. On completion of installation fill in in system antifreeze mix with water of the required structure (see the Head Routine maintenance). 3. Start the engine and check it for existence of signs of leaks. Warm up the engine up to the normal working temperature (both hoses of a radiator have to become hot to the touch). Check the level of cooling liquid, in case of need add the corresponding amount of mix. 4. On models with AT check the ATF level, in case of need add.

Broad tank

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The broad tank of the cooling system is located near a radiator in the right forward corner of a motive compartment. 2. Walk on an overflow hose from a radiator mouth to the top part of a broad tank. Uncover together with the hose connected to it. Remove a tank, having pulled it vertically up and having released from basic arms. 3. Merge cooling liquid from a broad tank in the prepared capacity. 4. Wash out a tank and check it for existence of cracks and other damages. In case of need make replacement. Wash up a tank outside warm water with soap and a brush – the level of the liquid which is in it has to be read easily through translucent walls. 5. Installation is made upside-down.
