Check of serviceability of functioning

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Without starting the engine, several times squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake. Make sure of lack of changes in pedal course size.
2. Holding a pedal of squeezed out, start the engine. If right after start the pedal slightly "fails", therefore, the vacuum amplifier of brakes works regularly.

Tightness check

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Start the engine for a couple of minutes, then muffle. Several times slowly squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake. If the pedal course with each squeezing is gradually reduced, tightness of assembly of the vacuum amplifier is not broken.
2. Squeeze out a pedal of a foot brake at the working engine. Holding a pedal of pressed, kill the engine. If 30 seconds of keeping of the pedal pressed its situation later does not change, therefore, tightness of assembly of the vacuum amplifier is not broken.

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. The block of the vacuum amplifier of brakes is not subject to recovery repair and in case of refusal has to be replaced assembled.
2. Remove from the vacuum amplifier assembly of GTTs (see Removal and installation of the main brake cylinder).
3. Disconnect the hose going from the engine. Try not to damage a hose, removing it from the union on assembly of the amplifier.
3. Under the dashboard find knot of connection of a rod of a pusher of the vacuum amplifier to a pedal of a foot brake.
4. Take the forelock and disconnect a pusher from a pedal.

5. From salon give four nuts of fastening of assembly of the vacuum amplifier to a partition of a motive compartment (see an accompanying illustration), remove washers (in case of need use a pocket small lamp).

6. Pass into a motive compartment and remove assembly of the vacuum amplifier from hairpins on a back partition. Also remove arms and laying.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Installation is made as it should be, the return to a dismantle order. Track that all fixture was tightened with the required effort, and pins and forelocks – are replaced.

2. At installation of the new brake amplifier it is necessary to make adjustment of a working gap of a rod of its pusher (see an accompanying illustration) for what:

   a) By means of the manual vacuum pump create depression of 508 mm of mercury in depth on the amplifier., then measure pusher vystupaniye size over the surface of assembly interfaced to GTTs (taking into account laying if that is provided). Write down result of measurement, we will call its "Size A".

   b) Measure distance from a basic flange of GTTs to the face surface of the cylinder (see an accompanying illustration). Write down the result of measurement further called by "Size B".

   c) Measure distance from a face surface of GTTs to the bottom of a landing pocket in an end face of its piston (see an accompanying illustration). Write down result, having called it "Of the size of".

   d) Subtract the size B from the size C, then, subtract the size A from the received difference. The received result will also determine the size of a required working gap.
   e) Compare result of calculations to requirements of the Specification. In case of need make the corresponding adjustment (see below).

3. For correction of a working gap of a rod of a pusher weaken a gear lock-nut and rotate the regulator in the relevant party. Having finished adjustment, tighten a lock-nut and again measure a gap. In case of need repeat the procedure.

4. After installation to the place of GTTs pump over the brake system (see Pumping of the brake system).
